There Is No Downtime
Following that quick appointment, you are free to leave and resume your usual activities. Whether that means returning to work, picking up your kids from school or meeting up with friends, you will not have to commit to time in bed as you would with more invasive cosmetic procedures. We do advise that you avoid intense exercise for the first couple of days, as it can aggravate swelling and bruising.
Side Effects Are Minimal
Injectables usually involve minimal or no pain. While you may experience momentary soreness from the needle, numbing agents are often used to limit that discomfort.
Afterwards, there may be moderate swelling, bruising and redness, but this should fade within a matter of days. Many patients find it relatively easy to conceal these effects with makeup, so coworkers and acquaintances are none the wiser as the filler slowly takes effect.
They Are Temporary
At first glance, you may assume this would be considered a downside of injectables, but it is actually appealing to patients who are on the fence about making cosmetic improvements. Knowing that the results will fade in time gives some patients the confidence to give it a try. While many patients wind up returning for additional treatment to maintain their new look, knowing injectables are reversible provides peace of mind.
You Can Perfect the Look
Some patients decide to return for a slight adjustment to their injectable treatment. Our team can make slight changes to provide you with the look you desire.
